Women's Basketball Adds Transfer Jasmine Crew

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Jasmine Crew (Camden, N.J.), a two-year standout at Northeastern University, has transferred to Seton Hall and will join the women's basketball program. Crew will sit out the 2009-10 season in accordance with NCAA regulations.
"We are very excited to welcome Jasmine to our program," said head coach Phyllis Mangina. "She is an outstanding player who has proven that she can produce at this level."
A 5-7 guard, Crew started 29 games last season at Northeastern and led the team with 13.2 points and 3.9 assists. She pulled down 4.6 rebounds per contest while posting 23 double-digit scoring games.
Crew was named New Jersey All-State second team as a senior and was the 2007 Courier-Post Girls' Basketball Player of the Year. She led Camden Catholic to a state championship in 2005-06 and guided the team to the South Jersey Non-Public A Final and its second-straight Olympic Conference National Division title with a 23-4 record in 2006-07.
