
Cross Country Completes BIG EAST Championship

JAMESVILLE, N.Y. - The Seton Hall cross country teams ran at the BIG EAST Championships on Saturday morning. The men finished 14th out of 14 teams while the women placed 16th out of 16 teams.
Freshman Carl Johnston (Burrey, British Columbia) led the men with a 81st place finish (28:04) while sophomore Hughnique Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) secured 104th place (24:50) to pace the women.
Sophomore Jared Hanko (Montville, N.J.) placed 100th (29:16), junior Erik Chester (Danieltown, Conn.) was 107th (29:53), sophomore Mamadou Niang (North Caldwell, N.J.) was 112th (30:33), and freshman Cory Hellwig took 115th (30:55).
Seniors Alexandra Hehn (Toms River, N.J.) and KeAira Dickerson (Wilmington, Del.) took 119th (25:42) and 121st (25:53), respectively. Senior Madison Wrest (Edmonds, Wash.) captured 125th place (26:06) and sophomore Eloisa Paredes (Clifton, N.J.) rounded out the scoring with a 128th place finish (26:27).
The Pirates will next run at the NCAA Mideast Regional at Penn State on Saturday, November 13.
