
Cross Country Continues Competition at BIG EAST Preview

JAMESVILLE, N.Y. - The Seton Hall cross country teams ran in their second meet of the fall season at the BIG EAST Preview race, hosted by Syracuse University. The men turned in a fifth place performance out of seven teams. The women placed seventh out of nine squads.
Sophomore Jared Hanko (Montville, N.J.) was the first men's finisher, taking 28th place with a time of 20:06. Sophomore Hughnique Rolle (Nassau, Bahamas) paced the women, placing 46th with a mark of 22:25.
Senior Tom Corona (Fairfield, Conn.) placed 39th after running a 21:06. Junior Erik Chester (Danieltown, Conn.) was 41st, hitting a time of 21:12. Junior Andrew O'Leary (Liverpool, N.Y.) and freshman Tony Cramond finished back-to-back, 46th and 47th, respectively with O'Leary, a Syracuse area product, running a 21:31 and Cramond following just two seconds later.
Senior Dwight Parker (Randalltown, Md.) and sophomore Mamadou Niang (North Caldwell, N.J.) completed the Pirates' scoring, securing 50th and 52nd place. Parker ran a 22:07, while Niang hit 22:19.
On the women's side, sophomore Eloisa Paredes (Clifton, N.J.) was the 49th runner to complete the course in 22:46. Freshman Nyala Edding followed in 51st place, crossing the tape in 23:15. Senior Madison Wrest (Edmonds, Wash.) was two places behind Edding after running a 23:44. Senior KeAira Dickerson (Wilmington, Del.) took 55th with a 24:35, while sophomore Christina Chafos placed 58th after hitting a 25:11. Junior Jehmeesah Walker (Newport News, Va.) was 71st with a time of 27:36.
The Hall is back in action on Saturday, September 18, at the Delaware Invitational.
