Women's Basketball Announces 2010-11 Schedule

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall women's basketball program has released its schedule for the 2010-11 season, the first under head coach Anne Donovan. The new era of Pirates basketball will kick off on Nov. 12 at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers.
Seton Hall will make its Walsh Gymnasium debut under Donovan on Nov. 16 with a visit from Temple, an NCAA Tournament team from a year ago. The Pirates then host national power LSU on Nov. 20 and Massachusetts on Nov. 21 in the Anaconda Sports "The Rock" Seton Hall Classic.
After hosting Army on Nov. 23, the Hall will head to the Bahamas for the Junkanoo Jam over Thanksgiving weekend. The Pirates face Boston College on Nov. 26 before facing either Auburn or Sacred Heart the following day.
Seton Hall remains on the road for contests at Delaware State on Dec. 1 and William and Mary on Dec. 5. The BIG EAST opener comes on Dec. 8 as the Pirates travel to St. John's, followed by a visit to Drexel on Dec. 12. The non-conference schedule then closes out with a trio of home games against Hofstra (Dec. 18), LaSalle (Dec. 22) and Rhode Island (Dec. 29).
The Hall hosts its first conference game of the season on Jan. 5 against West Virginia. Following a trip to Syracuse (Jan. 8), the Pirates welcome Pittsburgh (Jan. 12) and St. John's (Jan. 15) to Walsh Gymnasium.
Seton Hall heads to DePaul (Jan. 22) and USF (Jan. 25) before returning home to take on Georgetown (Jan. 29) and Providence (Feb. 6). The Pirates are at Notre Dame (Feb. 8) and Cincinnati (Feb. 12) prior to home contests against Marquette (Feb. 16) and Villanova (Feb. 19).
Road trips to two-time defending national champion Connecticut (Feb. 22) and Louisville (Feb. 26) precede Senior Night at Walsh Gymnasium against Rutgers (Feb. 28).
The BIG EAST Championship is slated for Mar. 4-8 at XL Center in Hartford, Conn.
