
Crew Named BIG EAST and ECAC Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Senior guard Jasmine Crew (Camden, N.J.) was named BIG EAST Player of the Week after a stellar week at the Paradise Jam where she earned All-Tournament Team honors and lifted the Seton Hall women's basketball team to a 2-1 record to claim second place in the "Island" division. She becomes the first Pirate to earn the accolade since Noteisha Womack in December of 2007.
In addition, the ECAC also tabbed her as their Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Crew averaged 24.3 ppg to lead all players in the tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands. She scored a career-high 35 points in a 72-69 win against Louisiana Tech, recording the second-highest single-game total in program history and the most by any BIG EAST player this season. She went 16-for-21 from the foul line in the contest, setting the single-game records for makes and attempts.
In an overtime loss to Alabama, Crew posted 17 points and finished the tournament with a game-high 21 points to lead the Pirates in a win against Old Dominion.
She shattered the tournament's three-game record for free-throws made and attempted, converting on 29-of-34 attempts (85.3%).
Connecticut forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis earned her second-straight BIG EAST Freshman of the Week selection in as many weeks.

Keisha Hampton, DePaul, Sr., F
Hampton scored a career-high 32 points in DePaul's win at Northwestern on Nov. 27. She connected on 9-of-23 from the floor, including 12-of-12 from the free throw line.
Sugar Rodgers, Georgetown, Jr., G
Rodgers was named the Lady Rebel Round-Up MVP, leading the Hoyas in both wins in Las Vegas, Nev. She scored 23 points in the win against No. 10/10 Georgia.
Monique Reid, Louisville, Sr., F
Reid came off the bench to average 21.0 ppg in a 3-0 week for the Cardinals. She shot 77 percent for the week and grabbed 5.0 rpg.
Skylar Diggins, Notre Dame, Jr., G
Diggins led the Irish to a win the Junkanoo Jam Freeport Division title, averaging 20.5 ppg. She had 22 points in a win against Southern California and 19 points and eight rebounds in a victory against No. 7/6 Duke.
Kayla Alexander, Syracuse, Jr., C
Alexander averaged 24.0 ppg and 8.0 ppg, shooting 78.3 percent in a 2-0 week for the Orange. She had 15 points against Buffalo and recorded a career-high 33 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 86 percent from the floor in a win against Binghamton.
