Women's Basketball Complete 2011-12 Schedule Released

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The BIG EAST has announced the complete 2011-12 women's basketball conference schedule on Wednesday. Seton Hall will open up league play on Friday, December 9, when the Connecticut Huskies, fresh off another Final Four appearance, pay a visit to Walsh Gymnasium.
The Pirates will take on national runner-up Notre Dame at home to open the new year on January 4 before visiting Marquette on January 7 and West Virginia on Jan. 10. SHU will return home on Jan. 14 against USF, a game that will be televised on SNY and regionally on the BIG EAST Network. The Pirates will later travel to Tampa to face the Bulls on January 25.
The rest of the Hall's home opponents include Syracuse (Jan. 22), DePaul (Jan. 28), St. John's (Feb. 4), Cincinnati (Feb. 18), and Louisville for senior night on Feb. 27. The remaining road contests are scheduled against Villanova (Jan. 31), Georgetown (Feb. 8), Providence (Feb. 11), Rutgers (Feb. 21), and Pittsburgh (Feb. 25).
The BIG EAST Championship, which again will include all 16 schools, begins on Tuesday, March 2 at the XL Center in Hartford, Conn.
The Pirates open up the regular season at home against Florida Gulf Coast on Friday, November 11 at 7:00 p.m. Full season tickets for the 2011-12 Seton Hall women's basketball season will be sold for $45.
