The Flames dropped two of their first three game in the season-opening Bulldog Inviatational in Georgia after posting a 25-9 record last season. Loren Thomas leads the team with a .300 attack percentage.

SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS
UNC finished second in the ACC in 2010, and lost in the second round of the NCAA Tournament to Cal-Berkley. Junior Emily McGee leads the team with 20 kills and ranks third on the team in digs. They will come into the tournament with a 1-1 record after being swept by #9 Florida.

SCOUTING THE BRONCOS
Western Michigan will enter the tournament with a 3-0 record after taking the Marriot Cavalier Classic in Virginia after a 22-10 season in 2010. Led by returning starter Jessica Brown, who led the team in kills and blocks, Western Michigan leads the MAC in kills.
DeVRIES' CAREER DAY
Junior middle blocker set a new career-high with nine blocks in SHU's four-set win over Colgate on Aug. 27 beating her old mark of seven. Her outburst brought her to the top of the BIG EAST rankings, averaging two rejections per set.
MATUSIAK CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Senior Meghan Matusiak moved up to sixth place on the all-time kill list after leading the Pirates in their first two matches of the season. The right-side hitter is just the eighth player in program history to record 1,000 career kills.
MANTHORPES PLAY KEY ROLE AGAINST RED RAIDERS
Freshmen Shelbey and Stacey Manthorpe each made big contributions in the Hall's win over Colgate. Shelbey has emerged as the starting setter and posted her first career double-double with 31 assists and 12 digs. Stacey notched 10 kills on a .400 clip.
WARREN PICKS UP WHERE SHE LEFT OFF
After setting the freshman record for digs in a season, sophomore Alyssa Warren is off to a fine start for the Pirates. She currently ranks second in the conference, averaging 5.19 digs per set.
PRESEASON POLL
Seton Hall was picked sixth in this year's BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll. It is the highest the Pirates have been slotted under fifth-year head coach Kris Zeiter. The Hall finished last season in a tie for sixth place.
WARREN IMPRESSES IN RED, WHITE & BLUE
For the second straight year, Alyssa Warren spent part of her summer as a member of the U.S. Junior National A2 Team, helping the squad to a bronze medal at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in Tucson, Ariz.
