Coming off a competitive test at the Delaware Invitational, the Seton Hall men and women's cross country teams will head to the Towson Invitational on Friday, September 23rd.
"This course is geared for us," says Coach John Moon of Oregon Ridge Park in Towson, Md. "It is very grassy and flat, and each team will be running about one loop around the course."
Freshman Mary Migton will look to post her second straight top-10 finish after her 9th place finish in Delaware, which led not only the women's squad, but also all the competing freshmen. For the men, junior captain Jared Hanko had a top-25 finish last week and led the men's attack.
Senior Erik Chester returned last time out after not racing at Fordham, and will look to pour in another solid effort after finishing 26th. Sophomore Nyala Eddings had a solid race for the women in Delaware, and posted a top-35 finish.
The men will again compete in the 8K while the woman will take part in the 5K race. The Pirates will go up against Maryland Eastern Shore and host Towson, among various other squads, at the Invitational.
"We need something to motivate us for the rest of the season," adds Moon. "I think this meet is going to give us that kind of edge."
