SCOUTING THE VOLUNTEERS
The Volunteers come into the tournament with a 4-2 record this season, having won the Comcast Lady Vol Classic. Sophomore Kelsey Robinson, who anchors the offense was just named SEC Player of the Week after a trio of 20-kill matches at the Illinois State Farm Classic.

SCOUTING THE HOKIES
The Hokies will enter the tournament on a three-match losing streak, with an overall record of 3-3. They won the Hokie Tournament to open the season, but were then swept at the Kentucky Tournament. Senior outside hitter Justine Record leads the team with 59 kills.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Eagles come into the tournament with a 3-3 record in the middle of an eight-match road trip. Sara Rishell, the reigning Patriot League Rookie of the Week, leads the team with 3.61 kills per set.
SHU SWEEPS LIU IN HOME-OPENER
With a 3-0 sweep of LIU on Tuesday, the Pirates improved to 18-6 in home openers since 1987. The Hall is also now 5-1 under the direction of Kris Zeiter.
THE ELUSIVE TRIPLE DOUBLE
Freshman Shelbey Manthorpe was a kill shy of posting the program's first ever triple-double against Western Michigan. The setter had nine kills, 35 assists, and 12 digs.
WARREN PICKING UP WHERE SHE LEFT OFF
After setting the freshman record for digs in a season, sophomore Alyssa Warren is off to a fine start for the Pirates. Against Western Michigan, Warren scooped up a career-best 35 digs which is the second highest single-match total in school history. She currently leads the conference, averaging 5.88 digs per set.
MATUSIAK CLIMBING THE CHARTS
Senior Meghan Matusiak moved up to sixth place on the all-time kill list after leading the Pirates in their first two matches of the season. The right-side hitter is just the eighth player in program history to record 1,000 career kills.
PRESEASON POLL
Seton Hall was picked sixth in this year's BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll. It is the highest the Pirates have been slotted under fifth-year head coach Kris Zeiter. The Hall finished last season in a tie for sixth place.
WARREN IMPRESSES IN RED, WHITE & BLUE
For the second straight year, Alyssa Warren spent part of her summer as a member of the U.S. Junior National A2 Team, helping the squad to a bronze medal at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in Tucson, Ariz.
NEW TO THE SHIP
SHU will welcome six newcomers to the program this fall including a pair of All-Americans in twin sisters Stacey and Shelbey Manthorpe. Shelbey is a setter who garnered Gatorade Player of the Year honors in the state of Pennsyvania. Stacey will vie for time at opposite and outside hitter.

Seton Hall is filming a season-long reality show on the 2010 volleyball season, entitled "Beyond the Net." Episodes will air exclusively on SHUPirates.com, the official website of Seton Hall Athletics.
