SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall athletics announced on Thursday a new radio partnership for the 2012-13 men's basketball season with WMTR-AM 1250 Radio. Additionally, for the 10th consecutive year, play-by-play voice Gary Cohen and color analyst Dave Popkin will team up to call all of the Pirates action.
Each of Seton Hall's 31 regular season games will be heard on WMTR-AM 1250.
"Seton Hall athletics is looking forward to beginning this new partnership with WMTR," said Director of Athletics Patrick Lyons. "With WMTR in place, we can guarantee that every game will be located at the same place on the radio dial. Of course, we're also very pleased to have the best broadcast team in the BIG EAST, Gary and Dave, back for their 10th season."
"It's a thrill to once again partner with Seton Hall University as the broadcast outlet for the 2012-13 men's basketball season," said WMTR Program Director Chris Edwards. "The combination of the Pirate's veteran talent, new recruits and Coach Kevin Willard's boundless enthusiasm show all the signs of a successful regular and post season. The 1250AM WMTR family is pleased to be the "Go To" radio station for Seton Hall men's basketball fans."
As in the past, every Seton Hall game, home and away, will also be heard on WSOU 89.5 FM, Seton Hall's student radio station. Led by sports director Chris Paizis, WSOU's coverage will again feature "Hall Line" following each basketball broadcast.
