SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall women's basketball team has announced its promotional schedule for the upcoming 2013-14 season. All 18 of the Pirates' home games will feature gameday promotions, beginning Friday, November 8, against Longwood in historic Walsh Gymnasium at 7:00PM with a student tailgate.
A special tribute to the most successful women's team in school history, the 1993-94 Sweet 16 team, will take place on Friday, November 15, at 7:00PM when the Pirates host Weber State. Come out to Walsh Gym and support the current and former Pirate greats!
In the spirit of giving, the Pirates will host the Seton Hall Gives Thanks Campaign, collecting canned and non-perishable goods at all home basketball games during the month of November. Collected items will be delivered to the Emergency Food and Nutrition Network, which provides food to over 75 food pantries throughout the Archdiocese of Newark.
Women's basketball will team up with Jersey Cares for the 18th Annual Coat Drive, distributing more than 40,000 "gently used" winter coats to men, women, and children in need throughout New Jersey. Collection boxes will be available at Walsh Gym on Saturday, December 7, at 2:00PM when the Pirates host UMass-Lowell. Anyone who donates a coat will receive a prize complimentary of Seton Hall Athletics.
Other gameday promotions include Kids Day, Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night, Play4Kay Cancer Awareness Day, and Senior Night on Tuesday, March 4, at 7:00PM. Additionally, the interactive Pirates Cove dates for all Junior Pirates are November 10, November 30, December 21, January 4, and January 18.
