MORRIS NAMED SECOND-TEAM ALL-BIG EAST Seton Hall's leading scorer senior Brittany Morris earned Second-Team All-BIG EAST accolades for the first time in her career, it was announced March 7, by the conference office. Morris leads Seton Hall and ranks 17th in the conference, averaging 13.8 points per game. The sharp-shooting senior averaged 14.8 ppg in BIG EAST contests and hit 2.9 threes per game in league games, which ranked second in the conference. It is the first time since the 1997 and 1998 seasons the Pirates had a player earn either first or second-team All-BIG EAST honors in consecutive seasons; Jasmine Crew was named Second-Team All-BIG EAST in 2012.
KEY TO THE GLASS There was a large rebounding advantage for the victorious team in both games between St. John's and Seton Hall this season. The Red Storm outrebounded Seton Hall by 15 (43-28) in their win, while the Pirates posted a season-best +18 rebound advantage (47-29) in their win.
REBOUNDS TRENDING UPWARD Although Seton Hall is being outrebounded by an average of 2.6 boards per game this season, Seton Hall has been crashing the boards as of late. The Pirates have outrebounded four of their last five opponents, with a +3.6 rebounding margin over the past five games.
1,000 IN THE CROSS-HAIRS With 27 points against Providence on Feb. 20, senior Brittany Morris passed 900 points for her career and is now closing in on 1,000. With 984 career-points she needs 16 more to become the 20th player in Seton Hall history to reach the 1,000-point plateau. She is just six points shy of tying Ashley Bush (‘01-'05) for 20th-place in school history with 990-career points. Morris leads Seton Hall and ranks 17th in the BIG EAST with 13.8 points per game this season.
SUPER SENIOR Senior forward Breanna Jones saved the best game of her career for the postseason, as she scored a career-high eight points and pulled down a career-high and team leading nine rebounds in Seton Hall's 60-55 win over Cincinnati in the first round of the BIG EAST Tournament.

The Pirates' five conference wins are the most since the 2007 season when they were 9-7 in the BIG EAST and the 10 overall victories are the most for Seton Hall since 2008-09; SHU finished 17-14 that year.

The Pirates ended long winless streaks against Rutgers and St. John's this season, beating both schools during conference play in the same season for the first time since 2002.
BIG EAST THREES All season the ability to shoot the three pointer has been an important staple in Seton Hall's offensive attack but in conference play the Pirates were even more effective from three. Seton Hall ranks third in the BIG EAST in conference three-point shooting, making 33.0 percent (93-of-282) of its three-point shots against conference foes for an average of 5.8 threes per game. PRESENCE ON THE BOARDS Over the past five games senior Breanna Jones has been one of Seton Hall's top rebounders. She is averaging 24.0 minutes per game over the last five contests, making four starts and Jones set a new career high in rebounding in three-straight games, most recently pulling down nine boards in a win over Cincinnati on March 8. Simmons also leads the Pirates with 60 steals, needing just one more to tie for the 10th most in one year.
SO YOU WANT TO BE A COACH Senior Brittany Morris has been selected to participate in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) "So You Want To Be A Coach" program, which will be held in conjunction with the WBCA's annual national convention in New Orleans, La., at the Final Four. Morris was one of 50 selected to attend the convention out of one of the deepest and most competitive applicant pools in the program's history. The mission of the "So You Want To Be A Coach" program is to assist female college basketball players who are interested in pursuing a career in coaching women's basketball.
START IT UP Senior Breanna Jones made her first start of the season and the second start of her career when she was slotted in at forward against No. 3 Connecticut on Feb. 23. Jones, who has played in 54-career contests has appeared in all but one game this season.
