
Stacey Manthorpe Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall senior Stacey Manthorpe (Merion Station, Pa.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for a second straight week on Monday.
Manthorpe was the main cog in the Seton Hall offense over the weekend, helping the Pirates to two wins in three matches at the West Virginia Invitational. The outside hitter registered double-doubles in all three matches and was successful on nearly 26% of her attacks during the tournament. Manthorpe had 11 kills and a team-high 16 digs vs. Montana in the opener on Friday and 10 kills and 11 digs vs. West Virginia in the nightcap. On Saturday vs. St. Francis, Manthorpe tallied a match-high14 kills to go with 14 digs.
Creighton's Kelli Browning was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Creighton's Marysa Wilkinson earned Freshman of the Week honors. Joining Manthorpe on the honor roll were Georgetown's Ashlie Williams, Marquette's Nele Barber, Providence's Jordan Wiesler and St. John's Aleksandra Wachowicz.
Manthorpe and the rest of the Pirates will return to action this weekend when they return to Walsh Gym to host their second tournament of the season, the Seton Hall Classic. Seton Hall will welcome Fordham, Dartmouth and Middle Tennessee State to campus. The Hall will face Fordham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Dartmouth on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and Middle Tennessee State at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
