Pirates Host Rider For Non-Conference Finale

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall women's basketball team (6-4) is back at Walsh Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon to host Rider (7-2) for a 12 p.m. tip. The contest will serve as The Hall's non-conference finale and will be available FOR FREE on the Pirate Sports Network with Jon Schaeffer, David Gass and Johnny Soper on the call.Â
Tickets are still available for Sunday's contest HERE. Sunday's game will also be part of the Team Walker Toy Drive.
The Pirates are coming off a tough setback at Rutgers on Tuesday night, falling 53-45 in a defensive struggle. Rider has won four-straight and is off to one of the best starts in program history. The two sides have met nine times in the past, with each of the prior meetings going in favor of the Pirates.Â

- Robin Perkins is the reigning MAAC Player of the Week and leads Rider with 16.8 points per game
- Kamila Hoskova (10.9 ppg) and Stella Johnson (10.7) also score in double-figures for the Broncs, while Julia Duggan averages 9.8 points and a team-high 6.6 rebounds
- Rider is shooting 41.7 percent from the floor on the year and holds a +1.7 turnover margin overall
- The Broncs have won four-straight heading in to Sunday
- JaQuan Jackson led The Hall with 21 points in the setback, finishing as the only Pirate in double-figures
- The Pirates took an 11-point lead to the break, but a 20-8 edge for RU in the third quarter pulled the contest back even
- After Seton Hall took a 45-43 lead with 3:00 to play, Rutgers finished the contest with a 10-0 run over the final 1:44 of regulation
