
Rutkowski Paces Pirates at BIG EAST Championship

Kenosha, Wis. – Junior captain Christiana Rutkowski (Middletown, N.J.) led the Seton Hall women's cross country team with a 6K run of 21:47.4 to place 32nd at the BIG EAST Championship, as the Pirates finished eighth out of 10 teams at the Wayne Dennehl National Course on a cold and overcast Saturday morning.
Senior Emily Johnson (Wildwood Crest, N.J.) finished in 23:17.0 for 63rd, and junior Kiley Britten (Crystal Lake, Ill.) rounded out the Top-3 Pirates to cross the finish line with a time of 23:29.5 for 67th.
Freshmen Olivia and Emily Hernandez (East Brunswick, N.J.) celebrated their 19th birthdays with respective Top-75 times of 23:42.2 and 24:04.1.
Looking ahead, the Pirates will compete at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday, Nov. 10 in Bethlehem, Pa.
