
Pirates Pick Up Win over Villanova at Rutgers

Piscataway, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's swimming & diving team defeated Villanova, 195-152, but was handed a 270-77 setback to Pittsburgh, and a 183-168 loss to Georgetown, in a quad-meet hosted by Rutgers Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Senior Noah Yanchulis (Arnold, Md.) won the 200 free after touching the wall in 1:40.80, and junior Dakota Williams (Noank, Conn.) placed third in the 50 free with an impressive time of 21.11. In the 100 free, Yanchulis and Williams finished third and fourth with respective times of 45.95 and 46.15.
Senior Vadim Jacobson (Arnold, Md.) took fifth with a time of 1:41.76, while senior Cody Wimmer (Macungie, Pa.) and junior Ivan Michalovic (Glen Mills, Pa.) finished fourth and fifth in the 1000 free after touching the wall in 9:50.21 and 9:51.01.
Sophomore Joshua Tosoni (Arnold, Md.) placed third in the 100 breast with a time of 57.61, and third in the 200 breast after swimming a 2:06.44.
Junior Kyle Nash (Katy, Texas) (1:54.35), freshman Liam Cosgrove (Sea Girt, N.J.) (1:55.05) and Michalovic (1:55.58) went 4-5-6 in the 200 fly.
In the 200 free relay, Williams, Yanchulis, sophomore John Redoutey (Costa Mesa, Calif.) and junior Chris Tucker (Middletown, N.J.) took third with a time of 1:24.61, just six-thousandths of a second behind the runner-up quartet from Pittsburgh.
Tucker, Tosoni, Cosgrove and Williams swam a 3:26.27 in the 400 medley relay, placing third. The 400 free relay quartet for the Pirates took second, swimming a 3:04.43.
Up next, the Pirates ramp up for the Patriot Invitational Nov. 16-18 at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
