Pirates Fall At Marquette On Friday Afternoon

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Seton Hall women's basketball team (11-12, 4-8 BIG EAST) dropped a league road tile at Marquette (17-6, 8-4) by a score of 103-60 on Friday afternoon at the Al McGuire Center.
Claire Lundberg (Andover, Minn.) and LaTecia Smith (Gardenia, Calif.) tied for the team-high with 12 points each, combining to shoot 10-of-17 from the floor in the setback. For Marquette six players scored in double-figures, led by 21 off the bench from Isabelle Spingola.
Turning Point
The Golden Eagles stormed out of the gate, scoring the first eight points of the game en route to a 25-9 edge in the first quarter. By the half, Marquette had built its advantage to 55-26 and led for double-digits the rest of the way.
Inside The Numbers
- Marquette shot a blistering 60.3 percent from the floor, becoming the first team since Notre Dame on Feb. 8, 2011 to shot 60 percent or better against The Hall
- The Golden Eagles held a 42-23 edge on the glass and won the turnover battle, 16-7
- The Hall finished with a 7-1 advantage in blocked shots, led by a career-high four from Lundberg
