Seton Hall-Fordham Moved To Wednesday At Fordham

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall softball team (14-11-1) will face Fordham (23-7) on Wednesday, March 29 at 4 p.m. in the Bronx. The contest was originally set to be played in South Orange on Tuesday but was moved due to rainy conditions.
The Hall is coming off its first BIG EAST conference set of the season, taking 1-of-3 from Villanova in a home league set. The Pirate offense banged out 30 hits over the three games, one of which was a dramatic 8-6 comeback in 10 innings. Fordham also opened league play at home last weekend, sweeping three run-rule victories over Rhode Island.

Following the brief jaunt out of conference, The Hall is back into BIG EAST play over the weekend when it heads to DePaul for a three-game set with the Blue Demons.

- Alexis Walkden (Cibolo, Texas) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after batting .600 with three home runs in the Villanova series
- Overall this season Walkden leads the Pirates with a .392 average along with eight home runs, 11 doubles and 21 RBIs
- Ragen Reddick (Middlesex, N.J.) also hit .600 against VU and raised her season average from .276 to .359 in the process
- As a team the Pirates have clubbed 26 home runs in as many games, ranking 24th in the nation in homers per game
- Walkden leads the way with eight, followed by Lauren Fischer (Robbinsville, N.J.) with five and Hailey Arteaga (Upland, Calif.) with four
- In the circle, Fischer leads the Pirates with a 2.71 ERA and Reganne Camp (Bloomington, Ill.) holds a 28:14 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 40.2 innings during her rookie campaign
- The Rams visit South Orange with a 23-7 record on the year
- Jessica Hughes leads the Rams with a .444 average and 18 stolen bases, also clubbing seven home runs and driving in 24 on the year
- Madison Shaw is Fordham's top power threat with nine home runs and 37 RBIs along with a .383 average, while Amy Van Hoven is batting .354 and is 17-for-17 on the basepaths
- In the circle, Lauren Quense holds a 14-3 record and 1.80 ERA in 101.1 innings over 18 starts
