Mason Named to BIG EAST Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall senior Dominique Mason (Chicago, Ill.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday.
Mason led the Pirates in both total kills and kills per set in a strong pair of matches to open BIG EAST Conference play last weekend. The outside hitter narrowly missed a double-double with nine kills and nine digs in a loss to Marquette in Milwaukee on Friday. On Saturday however, Mason erupted for a season-high 17 kills to go with eight digs and an impressive .306 attack percentage in a three-set sweep at DePaul.
Marquette's Jenna Rosenthal was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, while Creighton's Brittany Witt was named Defensive Player of the Week. Providence's Allison Barber was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Those joining Mason on the Honor Roll include: Butler's Rachel Klitzing, Creighton's Megan Ballenger, Providence's Addison Root and Villanova's Regan Lough.
The Pirates will return to action on Friday, September 29 when they host defending BIG EAST champion Creighton in Walsh Gym. Match time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
