Pirates To Host Tip-Off Tournament This Weekend

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Fresh off a resounding season-opening victory on Tuesday, the Seton Hall women's basketball team (1-0) will host a Tip-Off Tournament this weekend inside historic Walsh Gym. The fixed match-up tournament will see the Pirates face Kennesaw State (1-0) on Saturday and UTSA (1-0) on Sunday. Both contests will be available live and FREE on the Pirate Sports Network presented by RWJ Barnabas.

UTSA
- The Roadrunners kicked off their campaign on Tuesday with a 78-51 victory over Concordia Texas
- Marie Benson led the way for UTSA with a huge 29-point, 15-rebound double-double and Tija Hawkins chipped in 14 points
- A year ago UTSA finished 9-21 overall and 6-10 in Conference USA action
- Former Pirate Ela Mukosiej ('08) is in her fourth season as an assistant coach on the UTSA staff
