WEST POINT, N.Y. – Freshman CJ Tibbling (Hagagatan, Sweden) of the Seton Hall men's soccer team (1-0) started his collegiate career emphatically, scoring twice in a 2-1 double overtime victory over Army West Point (0-1) on Friday night at Malek Stadium at Clinton Field. The contest was the season opener for both sides and was The Hall's first official contest under head coach Andreas Lindberg.
Tibbling's first goal came on a penalty kick in the 17th minute, giving the Pirates a 1-0 lead it would hold for more than an hour of game time. Army West Point found an equalizer late in regulation, leveling the contest at 1-1 in the 82nd minute to force extra time.
Turning Point
After a scoreless first overtime that saw the Pirates control the majority of the action, The Hall finally broke through with Tibbling's dramatic game-winner. The chance began in the 103rd minute, when junior Carlton McKenzie (Birmingham, England) put a shot on target from outside the 18 that was deflected over the bar and out of play by the Army keeper.
Tomas Greco (Buenos Aires, Argentina) swung in the ensuring corner, which was partially cleared but snared near midfield by Martin Storesund (Snaroya, Norway). The freshman fed the ball up the right wing to a streaking Nico Andersen (Odense, Denmark), who worked his way into the box and lifted a picture-perfect cross across the face of the Army keeper. On the other end was Tibbling, who surged forward and got a powerful header on the cross to put home his second of the night and a golden goal winner.

82nd – Army – Keenan O'Shea (1) free kick from 20 yards out, bent off top right crossbar and in
