Martin Storesund (Snaroya, Norway) also scored for the Pirates, who dominated possession throughout the contest. The contest was level at 1-1 for nearly an hour of game action before the Pirates finally broke through in the 85th minute.
Turning Point
After having several quality attempts thwarted by CCSU keeper Carson D'Ambrosio, The Hall found a game-winner with a shade over five minutes remaining in regulation. Nico Andersen (Odense, Denmark) got the scoring play started with a run up the right flank before centering a cross in the center of the box. McKenzie was about to out-leap a pair of CCSU defenders to get a strong header on the feed, pushing it into the bottom left corner of the cage and putting The Hall ahead.
Goals
19th – SHU – Through ball up left side from Alex Pozesky (Columbia, Pa.) run down by Storesund (1), shot from edge of area to the near post
28th – CCSU – Aidan O'Brien (1) finished ball near penalty spot into top right corner
