Five Things To Know When The Hall Visits Delaware

NEWARK, Del. – The Seton Hall men's soccer team (2-0-0) looks to continue its hot start this weekend when it heads to Delaware (0-2-0) for a Saturday night showdown with the Fightin' Blue Hens. Kick-off from Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium is set for 7 p.m.
Here are five things to know ahead of Saturday's contest:
1 | History with the Hens
Seton Hall and Delaware have squared off 11 times since 1938, but seven of those meetings have come over the last seven seasons. The Hall is 3-7-1 all-time against UDel and 2-4-1 since the rekindling of the series in 2011. The recent connection stems from Delaware head coach Ian Hennessy, a Seton Hall Athletics Hall of Fame member who ranks second in program history in both goals (52) and points (134) after starring for the Pirates from 1986-89.
2 | Pirates Off To Their Best Start In A Decade
Seton Hall has won its first two contests under first-year head coach Andreas Lindberg, a first for the program since the 2008 season. The Hall also played in and won back-to-back road wins to start a campaign for only the second time in the BIG EAST era, last happening in 1987.
3 | Youth Is Served
Three of the four goals scored by Seton Hall this season have come off the boots of freshman, with two from CJ Tibbling (Järna, Sweden) and another from Martin Storesund (Snaroya, Norway). In addition to his goal Storesund has also added an assist to rank second behind Tibbling on the squad in points with three.
4 | Nico Has The Clutch Touch
Senior Nico Andersen (Odense, Denmark) has dished out a team-best two assists this season, with both feeds leading to game-winning goals. Andersen first assisted on Tibbling's double-overtime golden goal in the season opener at Army West Point, then found Carlton McKenzie (Birmingham, England) for an 85th minute game-winning header at Central Connecticut on Tuesday night.
5 | Winning the Key Stats
Through two matches, The Hall has out-shot its opponents 32-22 and garnered a 15-9 edge in shots on goal. The Pirates have also generated 13 corner kicks and allowed only four, including a dominant 7-0 advantage on Tuesday night at CCSU. Thanks to that possession and defense in front of him, Andreas Nota (Rome, Italy) holds a 0.93 GAA and a .778 save percentage in net.
