Pirates Host Fifth Annual Mary Jennings Game Sunday

South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's soccer team is once again partnering with the College of Education to conduct a dedicated fundraiser to support the Mary Jennings Memorial Scholarship. During Sunday's BIG EAST Conference match against No. 7 Georgetown at 1 p.m., donations will be accepted at Owen T. Carroll Field, while donations are also currently being accepted online.
Mary Jennings was a Seton Hall women's soccer player who would have graduated in 2007 with a degree in secondary education and history. In 2006, Jennings, who was just 21 years old, lost her battle with cancer.
The scholarship that lives on in her name is annually bestowed to a Seton Hall University student who "represents the team spirit and passion for education Mary Jennings exhibited" and you can join all of Seton Hall Athletics in honoring Mary's memory and help support the Mary Jennings Memorial Scholarship by making a donation today.
The Pirates will be wearing special green jerseys on Sunday in support of liver cancer awareness. The match will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network via FOX Sports GO. Fans are encouraged to share photos on Snapchat using a special filter.
