
Pirates Fall in Mary Jennings Game to No. 7 Georgetown

South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's soccer team could not keep pace with No. 7 Georgetown on Sunday afternoon, falling 3-0 in a BIG EAST Conference match and Mary Jennings Memorial Game at Owen T. Carroll Field.
Turning Point
The Pirates (2-6-4, 0-3-0 BIG EAST) kept pace with the Hoyas (10-0-2, 3-0-0 BIG EAST) through the first 45 minutes, playing to a scoreless draw at the break. However, in the 51st minute, Georgetown got on the board when a shot in the box took odd bounce and found its way to the back of the net off the foot of Sarah Trissel.
Georgetown notched a goal less than 10 minutes later to move ahead 2-0, and added a tally in the final seconds.
