Seton Hall Tripped Up at No. 12 Georgetown, 2-0
10/11/2019 5:16:00 PM | Men's Soccer
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Seton Hall men's soccer team battled No. 12 Georgetown for 90 tough minutes, but Hoyas' attack secured a 50th minute goal and snuck in a meaningless tally in the 90th minute as the Pirates fell 2-0 Friday at Shaw Field, snapping a four-match winning streak.
Turning Point
After a scoreless first half, Georgetown, which had the majority of chances on the day, was able to convert in the 50th minute. Pirates goalkeeper Andreas Nota (Rome, Italy) made a great stop on a shot by Jack Beer, but the rebound came right to Georgetown's Achara, who put the ball in the net for the score.
Seton Hall then played the final 30 minutes of the match with only 10 men due to a red card.Â
