Seton Hall senior Alexis Lewis (Pittston, Pa.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Lewis had a strong offensive week for the Pirates in three games against quality opponents. On Tuesday against Atlantic 10 favorite VCU, she had 13 points on the strength of three made three-pointers. She also had five rebounds and four steals. Against Ivy League favorite Princeton on Friday, Lewis erupted for a career-high 27 points on an efficient 9-for-12 shooting from the floor. She also had seven rebounds and a team-best five steals in a strong all-around performance. On Sunday against Saint Joseph's, Lewis added 12 more points to go with four rebounds and two more steals.

For the week, Lewis averaged a team-best 17.3 points per game to go with 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 steals per contest. Her efforts directly led to wins in two of three games for the Pirates.

LAST GAME
Junior Desiree Elmore (Hartford, Conn.) led four Pirates in double-figures in scoring and the Seton Hall women's basketball defeated Saint Joseph's, 55-39, at Fordham University on Sunday.

Elmore scored 16 points on 7-for-12 shooting, grabbed seven rebounds and recorded three steals to lead The Hall. Lewis finished with 12 points, while freshmen Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) and Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) tallied 10 points.

The Pirates' defense was the other big story in the game, holding the Hawks to just 32.7% shooting for the game and 39 total points. For the second time this year, the Pirates held an opponent without a three-point field goal as Saint Joseph's was 0-for-12.

LAST MEETING
Seton Hall and Lehigh haven't met in 13 years. The last time these two teams got together, the Pirates won a defensive battle, 51-48, in Bethlehem.Â

Seton Hall has won four straight games against Lehigh. The last time the Pirates lost in the series was Nov. 25, 1985, a 72-65 loss in Walsh Gym.

SCOUTING LEHIGH
Lehigh is coming off a strong 2018-19 season, finishing with a 21-10 overall record, its first 20-win season in eight years. The Mountain Hawks' season came to an end with a semifinal loss to American in the Patriot League Championship.

This year, Lehigh is the preseason favorite to win the 10-team Patriot League title. The Mountain Hawks enter the contest with Seton Hall with a perfect 4-0 record with victories over Delaware State, Merrimack, George Washington, and most recently, Central Connecticut State on Monday.

Lehigh is led by Cameryn Burh, who enters the contest with team-bests of 15.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Cameryn Benz is also averaging in double-figures in scoring at 10.0 points to go with 6.8 rebounds per contest.
