Park-Lane Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall sophomore Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

It is the second time she has received the prestigious distinction this season, and the fourth time a Pirate has received the honor. Classmate Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) has also netted the honor twice.

Lauren Park-Lane continued the torrid start to her sophomore campaign against Villanova on Wednesday. The Pirate point guard erupted for a game-high 27 points and was nearly perfect at the free-throw line, going 12-for-13. Park-Lane also dished out three assists and grabbed a pair of rebounds. After not registering a 20-point game her entire freshman year, she now has three in a row.

Park-Lane currently leads the BIG EAST with 5.3 assists per game and ranks third in scoring with 20.3 points per game.

Villanova's Maddy Siegrist earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors. Connecticut's Paige Bueckers was named Freshman of the Week. In addition to Park-Lane, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include Connecticut's Aubrey Griffin, DePaul's Sonya Morris, Providence's Chanell Williams and St. John's Leilani Correa.

Seton Hall will return to game action tonight when it faces Butler in Indianapolis. Tip time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. ET.
