The senior had a team-best 10 kills, only two attack errors, and four blocks in the setback.

CHICAGO – Senior Emilee Turner (Kaysville, Utah) had a team-high 10 kills, but the Seton Hall women's volleyball team fell in three sets at DePaul, 3-0 (23-25, 19-25, 16-25), on Friday.

Turner had a team-best 10 kills, only two attack errors, a team-best .333 attack percentage and four blocks. Junior Raygan Murray (Rocky River, Ohio) recorded a season-high 23 digs.

SET 1:
The opening set was one of the closest the Pirates had played all season with neither team grabbing a lead greater than two points throughout. After seven lead changes and 16 ties, a block by Amanda Rachwal (Bethlehem, Pa.) and Madeline Matheny (Wilmington, Del.) gave The Hall a 21-20 lead and forced a DePaul timeout. The Blue Demons, however, scored five of the final seven points to win set one, 25-23.

SET 2:
The Pirates trailed early in set two, but a kill by Turner cut the Blue Demon lead to 11-9. DePaul responded through with four straight points to take a 15-9 advantage and force a Seton Hall timeout. Another kill by Turner cut The Hall's deficit to 18-15, but the Blue Demons bounced back with three straight to up their lead to 21-15.

SET 3:
DePaul never trailed in the final set, leading wire-to-wire. Down 7-4 early in set three, The Hall scored four straight points to take an 8-7 lead. The Blue Demons, however, responded with six of the next seven points to grab a 13-9 advantage. A block by Rachwal and Matheny cut The Hall's deficit to 18-14, but DePaul scored five of the next six points to take a commanding 23-15 lead. They went on to win the final set, 25-16. The Blue Demons had a match-high .393 attack percentage in set three.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

Turner had a team-high 10 kills, only two attack errors, a .333 attack percentage and four blocks.
Murray tallied a season-high 23 digs.
Rachwal finished four kills and a team-best seven blocks.
Sophomore Cagla Bengi (Bursa, Turkey) tallied a team-high 15 assists to go with five digs.
Seton Hall recorded a .109 attack percentage for the match, while DePaul attacked at .190.
The Pirates had 30 kills, while DePaul recorded 43.
Seton Hall finished with 56 digs, while the Blue Demons had 51.
The Pirates had 11.0 total blocks, while DePaul had 7.0.

NEWS & NOTES:

Seton Hall drops to 10-11 overall on the season and 2-5 in the BIG EAST, while DePaul improves to 11-8 overall and 4-3 in conference play.
The Pirates are now 19-4 all-time against the Blue Demons and have dropped the last three matches in the all-time series.
Seton Hall falls to 6-7 this season in three-set matches.
With 23 digs tonight, Murray surpassed the 700-digs milestone for her career.
