Harkness Leads Pirates, Hall takes third at Lafayette

Easton, Pa. – For the first time this season, Declan Harkness (Stewartsville, N.J.) paced the Pirates as The Hall came home with a third-place finish at the Leopard Invitational hosted by Lafayette College. Harkness placed seventh overall with a time of 26:25.66 on the 8k course at Metzger Field in Easton, Pa. Harkness has now been a top-three Pirate finisher in four-of-six meets this season, never finishing lower than fourth.

Just behind Harkness with a time of 26:29.10 was Patrick Wagner (Jenkintown, PA.). Wagner took eighth overall and has now placed top-10 or better in four-of-six meets this year. Cole Kretlow (Oakland, Calif.) was the third Pirate to cross the finish line doing so in a time of 27:09.50 earing a 15^th-place finish in the process. Nicholas Minikel (Milltown, N.J.), in 32^nd, and Justin Allone (Holtsville, N.Y.), in 39^th, rounded out the Pirates top-five finishers on the morning.

The Pirates will have a week off before returning to action at BIG EAST Championships on Friday, Oct. 29. The conference's championships will be held at Northview Church in Carmel, Ind.
