
Pirates Suffer Setback Against DePaul, 3-0

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Despite out-shooting DePaul in the game, 12-5, the Seton Hall women's soccer team fell to the Blue Demons, 3-0, on Thursday evening at Owen T. Carroll Field.
The Pirates (6-7, 1-4 BIG EAST) drop to 3-3 on campus this season and they also had a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal.
The Hall controlled the pace in the early minutes of the contest where seniors Laura Hooper (Watford, England) and Emma Ramsey (Mississagua, Ontario) both posted shots on goal. However, DePaul struck in the eighth minute and again in the 12th to take a 2-0 lead going into the break.
Just under a minute into the second half the Blue Demons drew a penalty that extended their advantage to 3-0. Despite solid chances offensively, the Pirates couldn't claw their way back into the game.
