Espinoza-Hunter Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The small forward averaged a team-best 20.5 points per game in a pair of contests last week.
NEW YORK – Seton Hall graduate student Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Espinoza-Hunter continued her strong play last week since joining the Pirates a year ago. The Cheryl Miller Award Watch List member averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last week. On Tuesday against Mount St. Mary's, Espinoza-Hunter scored 21 points to go with four rebounds. Against Fordham on Saturday, she was 4-for-6 from three-point range in route to a 20-point effort. She also pulled down seven rebounds.

Connecticut's Paige Bueckers was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. DePaul's Aneesah Morrow was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. In addition to Espinoza-Hunter, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include DePaul's Deja Church, St. John's Leilani Correa, Providence's Janai Crooms and Marquette's Karissa McLaughlin.

Seton Hall will return to action tomorrow when it faces Lehigh at historic Walsh Gymnasium. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.Â
