Sophomore Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) scored a career-high 32 points and Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) added 26, including a game-tying three-pointer at the end of regulation, to lift the Seton Hall women's basketball team to a 79-72 overtime victory over Georgetown on Thursday.
Â
Espinoza-Hunter drained a game-tying three-pointer with only seven seconds left in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime. That's when Park-Lane took over, scoring 13 of her 32 points in the extra session.
Â
The victory snaps a three-game losing streak and is the Pirates' first overtime victory since 2016.
Â
Park-Lane scored 32 points on 9-for-17 shooting from the field and was 11-for-12 from the free-throw line. She also had four assists and two rebounds. Espinoza-Hunter had 26 points on the strength of five made three-pointers and had five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

EARLIER THIS YEAR AGAINST PROVIDENCE
Behind 20 points from both sophomores Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) and Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) the Pirates rallied from a 12-point deficit to earn its first BIG EAST victory of the season, 77-71, at Providence on Jan. 3.
Â
The Pirates trailed by as many as nine points in the third quarter until a dramatic 14-0 run gave them the lead for good and changed their fates.
Â
Jackson scored 20 points on an efficient 7-for-11 shooting from the floor, including 5-for-6 from three-point range. Park-Lane had 20 points and was 8-for-11 from the free-throw line. She also dished out five assists.
Â
SCOUTING PROVIDENCE
Providence is coming off a tough 13-19 season overall and a 3-15 mark in BIG EAST Conference play. The Friars edged Georgetown, 49-46, in the opening round of the BIG EAST Championship, but fell in the quarterfinals to eventual champion, DePaul, 97-59, which effectively ended their season.
Â
This season, Providence is predicted to finish 10th in the 11-team BIG EAST Conference, according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Friars return four of their top six scorers from a year ago, including leading scorer Mary Baskerville. The junior lead Providence with 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game last year. Also returning are Kyra Spiwak and Alyssa Geary, players that averaged at least 8.0 points per game last year.
Â
The Friars are currently 6-9 overall and 4-6 in the BIG EAST. Providence is 2-3 since they last played the Pirates, defeating Butler at home at Creighton on the road. Most recently, they lost to Marquette, 73-52, on Monday. Mary Baskerville had 19 points and six steals off the bench.
