
Williams Tallies; Pirates Complete Unbeaten Home Regular Season Schedule

South Orange, N.J. - The #15 Seton Hall men's soccer team completed an unbeaten regular season at home on Saturday when they defeated UConn by a score of 1-0 at Owen. T Carroll Field. The Pirates finish up their regular season home schedule with a 6-0-1 record as hosts and move to 7-1-3 overall and 5-1-2 in the BIG EAST.
Seton Hall generated its fair share of chances in the first half, outshooting UConn 8-4 in the first period.
Turning Point
In the 59th minute the Pirates earned back-to-back corners with the second of the two being the difference maker. Sophomore James Boote (Southampton, England) crossed the corner to the UConn back post where Maurice Williams (West Orange, N.J.) was able to beat the Husky keeper and get the Pirates on the board.
The Hall's defense would hold the rest of the way picking up the team's sixth shutout of the season. In net, ANDREAS NOTA earned his fifth shutout and made two saves in his sixth victory.
