Cary, N.C. - The Seton Hall men's cross country team competed in the BIG EAST Championships on Friday. The meet served as the Pirates first competitive action since November 2019. The Pirates took 10th in the field.

The Hall was paced by sophomore Declan Harkness (Stewartsville, N.J.) who led the Pirates for the second consecutive year at the BIG EAST Championships. Harkness completed the course in a time of 26.19.2, an improvement on his BIG EAST debut time of 28:20.8. This was Harkness's seventh time finishing as a top five Pirate and his second time leading the squad.

Finishing in a time of 27.43.2 for the Pirates was Justin Allone (Holtsville, N.Y.), followed closely by Nicholas Minikel (Milltown, N.J.) and Andrew Walde (Edmonds, WA.) with times of 27:45.4 and 27:47.7, respectively.

Rounding out the top five for The Hall was James Loeffel (Queens, N.Y.) in a time of 27:59.3. Freshman Jadon Parris saw his first collegiate action with Cole Kretlow (Oakland, Calif.), Daniel Washburn (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Grant Tokarski (Brick, N.J.) also competing for the Pirates at the BIG EAST Championships.

The Pirates will continue their spring season when they run again at the Lafayette Invitational on March 27.
