South Orange, N.J. – The No.10-ranked Pirates drew the Temple Owls, 0-0, on Thursday night to open the 2021 season at Owen T. Carroll Field. The Pirates had two goals called off due to offsides in the scoreless bout. The Hall moves to 0-0-1 on the young season.
Turning Point
In the 97th minute, the Pirates kept the pressure on the Owl defense before Jordan Jowers (Middlesbrough, England) was able to draw a penalty in the Temple box. The Saint Peter's transfer's attempt was saved by the Owl goalkeeper Eoin Gawronski to keep the game alive. The teams would trade opportunities in the remaining overtime period, highlighted by a JP Marin (Briarwood, N.Y.) rocket of a shot that dinged the crossbar with two seconds remaining.
Inside the Numbers
No. 10 Seton Hall will remain at home when they take on Delaware on Monday. Kickoff for that game is slated for 6:56 pm and will be streamed on the PSN on FloSports.
