Kretlow Paces Field, Pirates Take First at Bill Fritz Invitational

Logan Township, N.J. – Led by a first-place overall individual finish by Cole Kretlow (Oakland, Calif.), the Seton Hall men's cross country team took first at the 2021 Bill Fritz Invitational hosted by Rowan University on Saturday.
Kretlow was one of five Pirates placing in the top-10 spots doing so in a time of 26:46.1. Also rounding out the top-five was Declan Harkness (Stewartsville, N.J.) who took home second and Patrick Wagner (Jenkintown, PA.) taking fourth. Harkness completed the 8k course in a time of 27:02.2 while Wagner did so in 27:14.7.
Justin Allone (Holtsville, N.Y.) took seventh overall with a time of 27:36.2 with Nicholas Minikel (Milltown, N.J.) placing eight in 27:39.4. Also competing for The Hall was James Loeffel (Queens, N.Y.), Daniel Washburn (Syracuse, N.Y.), Andrew Walde (Edmonds, WA.), Jacob Wozar (Newark, Del.) and Peter Smutelovic.
The Pirates will have a week off before traveling down to Daytona Beach, Fla., to take part in the Embry Riddle Cross Country Classic on Sept. 25.
