THE GAME
Seton Hall will return to action on Friday, January 14 when it returns to BIG EAST play in Omaha, Neb. against rival Creighton. Tip time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

MEDIA
The game will be streamed live by the BIG EAST Digital Network and available to FloSports subscribers with Josh Peterson and Rob Simms on the call. LAST GAME
Sidney Cooks (Kenosha, Wis.) and Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) had double-doubles, but Villanova rallied in the fourth quarter to defeat the Pirates, 76-73, on Dec. 31.

The Pirates held a seven-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, but Villanova out-scored The Hall, 26-16, in the final 10 minutes.

Cooks finished with 15 points, 12 rebounds and two assists for her second double-double of the season. Park-Lane had 12 points and 10 assists. Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) finished with a team-best 20 points to go with six rebounds and two steals, while Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) tallied 16 points, three rebounds and two assists. Curtessia Dean (Monroe, La.) tallied career-bests of 10 points and seven rebounds.

LAST YEAR AGAINST CREIGHTON
Seton Hall lost twice last year against Creighton, dropping a heart-breaking overtime contest in Walsh Gym, 77-76, and falling in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Championship, 83-76, which concluded the Pirates' season. Seton Hall's regular season game in Omaha was canceled.

Seton Hall's "big three" of Desiree Elmore, Andra Espinoza-Hunter and Lauren Park-Lane combined for 60 points, but Creighton rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit to defeat the Pirates, 83-76, in the BIG EAST Tournament quarterfinal round.

Seton Hall led by as many as 12 points early in the second half, but was out-scored 23-13 in the third quarter, and a 13-1 run gave Creighton its first lead of the game. The Bluejays were 12-for-24 from three-point range in the game, including 4-for-5 in the fourth quarter.

SCOUTING CREIGHTON
The Bluejays are coming off a 10-12 abbreviated 2020-21 season. They defeated Georgetown and Seton Hall in the BIG EAST Tournament before falling to Marquette in the semifinals. Creighton defeated Bowling Green in the first round of the WNIT before their season came to an end with a second-round loss to Northern Iowa.

This year, Creighton is predicted to finish sixth in the 11-team BIG EAST Conference, according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Bluejays return six of their seven top scorers from last season, including BIG EAST All-Freshman Team selection Emma Ronsiek and senior Tatum Rembao.

Creighton is off to a 10-4 start during the 2021-22 campaign, including an impressive 5-1 beginning to their BIG EAST slate. The Bluejays are coming off a 63-55 loss at UConn on Sunday, which snapped a four-game win streak. Creighton leads the BIG EAST in three-pointer percentage and three-pointers made per game.
