Lauren Park-Lane Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK –For the fifth time this season, Seton Hall junior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Park-Lane had another huge weekend for Seton Hall on the road in BIG EAST play last week. The Pirate point guard averaged a team-best 17.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game with only 1.0 turnovers per game. After a team-wide tough performance at Creighton on Friday, Park-Lane erupted for one of her finest games of the season at Providence on Sunday. She recorded a season-high 30 points on the strength of four made three-pointers and 6-for-6 shooting from the free-throw line in a 20-point victory over the Friars. Park-Lane also had five rebounds, four assists and four steals with only two turnovers.

Park-Lane's 30-point game is the second of her career. It's the seventh time this season she's reached at least 20 points, and the 13th time of her career.

Creighton's Emma Ronsiek was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while DePaul's Aneesah Morrow earned Freshman of the Week recognition. In addition to Park-Lane, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include Connecticut's Christyn Williams, DePaul's Sonya Morris, Marquette's Karssa McLaughlin and Villanova's Maddy Siegrist.

Seton Hall will return to action on Wednesday, January 19, when it hosts local BIG EAST foe St. John's at newly-renovated Walsh Gymnasium. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed live by the BIG EAST Digital Network and available for FloSports subscribers.
