Espinoza-Hunter Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The small forward nets the recognition for the third time this season.
NEW YORK – For the third time this season, Seton Hall graduate student Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Espinoza-Hunter continued her scoring barrage in Seton Hall's lone contest last week. The Cheryl Miller Award Watch List member erupted for a team-high 20 points on the strength of 3-for-5 shooting from three-point range. She also collected six rebounds and two steals in Seton Hall's narrow setback at Villanova.

Espinoza-Hunter has now reached double-figures in scoring in 18 straight games dating back to last season. Furthermore, her 20-point game is her sixth of the season and the 13th in her Seton Hall career. She's now just 15 points shy of 1,000 for her career.

Villanova's Maddy Siegrist was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. In addition to Espinoza-Hunter, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include Creighton's Morgan Maly, St. John's Leilani Correa, Villanova's Brianna Herlihy and Xavier's Kae Satterfield.
