Seton Hall will return to action on Tuesday, March 1 when wraps up the 2021-22 regular season in Cincinnati, Ohio against Xavier. Tip time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.Â

Junior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) scored 31 points, including the 1,000th of her career, and Sidney Cooks (Kenosha, Wis.) added 25 more to fuel the Seton Hall women's basketball team to a dramatic road victory over DePaul, 94-90, on Friday.

Park-Lane scored 17 of her game-high 31 points in the third quarter as the Pirates claimed a lead they never relinquished in the fourth. Seton Hall's victory is its eighth in the last nine games and guarantees an above .500 season in BIG EAST play.

The dynamic point guard was 5-for-8 from three-point range, had six rebounds, six assists and two steals. Cooks collected her fourth double-double in the last five games with 25 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Junior Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) made her return from injury with 16 points on the strength of 3-for-5 shooting from three-point range. Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) finished with 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Five Pirates scored at least 14 points, and the Pirates outlasted Xavier in an offensive shootout, 91-86, in Walsh Gym on Feb 4.

Seton Hall matched its season-high for points, while Xavier had a season-best, and both teams shot at least 50.0% from the field in a contest that featured eight lead changes and eight ties.

For a second straight night, Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) led the Pirates in scoring with 20 points to go with five assists and three rebounds. Sidney Cooks (Kenosha, Wis.) notched a double-double with 18 points on 7-for-8 shooting and a team-high 10 rebounds. Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.), Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) and Curtessia Dean (Monroe, La.) scored 16, 15 and 14 points respectively.

Dean turned in one of her finest efforts as a Pirate with 14 points on 5-for-7 shooting and four rebounds. Eight of her points came in the fourth quarter.

SCOUTING XAVIER
The Musketeers are coming off a 5-10 abbreviated 2020-21 season. Their season came to an end with a 65-57 loss to St. John's in the opening round of the BIG EAST Tournament.

This year, Xavier is predicted to finish 10th in the 11-team BIG EAST Conference, according to the Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Musketeers return two of their top three scorers from last season in Nia Clark and Kae Satterfield.

Xavier enters Tuesday's game with a 9-19 overall record, including a 4-15 mark for the BIG EAST slate. The Musketeers have won two of their last four contests, but are coming off losses to Georgetown and Villanova last weekend. Nia Clark and Kae Satterfield lead the team with 11.7 and 11.0 points per game respectively, but aren't expected to play.
