
Park-Lane Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

LP led The Hall to a pair of wins while averaging 17 points and 10 assists per game last week.
NEW YORK –Seton Hall senior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

It's the fifth time she's been honored by the BIG EAST this season with four Weekly Honor Rolls and a Player of the Week on Dec. 5.

Park-Lane continued her dominant senior season last week, leading the Pirates to a pair of BIG EAST victories. The point guard led Seton Hall with 17.0 points and 10.0 assists last week in two double-digit wins.  On Wednesday, Park-Lane erupted for her first double-double of the season, a 15-point, 11-assist outburst as Seton Hall defeated previously unbeaten, No. 24 St. John's. She also had five rebounds and three steals in a strong all-around effort. Park-Lane closed out her week with 19 points and nine assists in a road victory at Providence.Â

On Sunday, Park-Lane moved past Pirate legend Jodi Brooks into seventh place on Seton Hall's career scoring list. She also became the first player in Seton Hall history to reach 600 career assists.

Villanova's Maddy Siegrist was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. Georgetown's Kennedy Fauntleroy earned Freshman of the Week honors. In addition to Park-Lane, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include UConn's Aubrey Griffin, DePaul's Aneesah Morrow, Marquette's Chloe Marotta and St. John's Jayla Everett.

Seton Hall will return to action on Wednesday when it resumes BIG EAST play against Creighton in Omaha. Tip time is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET. The game will be televised nationally on FS1 with Kevin Kugler and Kim Adams on the call. Brian Henderson and John Makuch will provide the action for WSOU FM or wsou.net.
