Lauren Park-Lane has now been honored with BIG EAST Weekly honors seven times this season.
NEW YORK – Seton Hall senior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Â
It's the seventh time she's been honored by the BIG EAST this season with six Weekly Honor Rolls and a Player of the Week on Dec. 5.
Â
Park-Lane took her remarkable senior season to another level last week in three games for the Pirates. The dynamic point guard recorded two double-doubles and set a new Seton Hall single-game scoring record. On Monday against DePaul, Park-Lane erupted for a Pirate-record 39 points on 11-for-19 shooting to go with nine assists in a seven-point victory. In Chicago on Wednesday, she collected a double-double with 16 points to go with 11 assists. On Saturday, Park-Lane had game-highs of 20 points and 10 assists on Senior day in a 72-59 victory over Xavier.
Â
With her efforts last week, Park-Lane moved past Pirates' legend Ka-Deidre Simmons into third place on Seton Hall's career scoring list. She now has 1,769 career points. She's also just four assists away from moving into fourth place on the BIG EAST's career list.
Â
DePaul's Aneesah Morrow was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. In addition to Park-Lane, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include Butler's Rachel McLimore, UConn's Lou Lopez Senechal, Marquette's Chloe Marotta and Villanova's Maddy Siegrist.
Â
Seton Hall will return to action on Friday when it heads to Indianapolis for a contest at Butler in its final regular season road game of the season. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The game will be streamed live by the BIG EAST Digital Network and available for FloHoops subscribers on the call. Chris Kiely and Mike Federico will provide the action for WSOU FM or wsou.net.
