South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's and women's cross country teams have announced their schedules for the 2023 season. Hall of Fame head coach John Moon enters his 52nd overall season with Seton Hall and his 14th exclusively guiding the cross country programs, with his teams each set to compete in nine meets this fall.
The Pirates will open the 2023 season down in Salisbury, Md. at the Salisbury University Fall Classic on Sep. 2. The following weekend, the teams will travel to Lebanon, Pa. to take part in the Dutchmen Invitational for the first time. The meet, held on Sep. 9, will be hosted by Lebanon Valley College.
The Pirates wrap up September with a pair of events they also competed in last season, starting with the Embry-Riddle Cross Country Classic on Sep. 16. Rounding out the month is the Maryland Eastern Shore Farm Run on Sep. 23, an event which saw both the men and women take home first place team finishes in 2022.
The Hall kicks off October with a split squad day on Oct. 7, with athletes competing at both the Metropolitan Championships and Highlander Invitational. Both meets will be held at Branch Brook Park in Newark. Six days later, the Pirates head to Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx for the IC4A/ECAC Championships on Oct. 13.
After a weekend of rest and preparation, the Pirates will travel to Kenosha, Wi. for the 2023 BIG EAST Championships on Oct. 28. The championship meet will take place at Wayne Dannehl Course. Finally, the season will conclude at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, hosted by Lehigh University on Nov. 10.
