
Pirates to Face USC, East Carolina at Baha Mar

The Hall will face its foes at the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship, Nov. 20 & 22.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Seton Hall women's basketball team will join nine other Division I women's teams in a standout field set to compete in the 2023 Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship, Nov. 20 and 22, at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center.

The nine other teams previously announced include Columbia (28-6, 12-2 Ivy League in 2022-23), East Carolina (23-10, 11-5 American Athletic), Florida (19-15, 5-11 SEC), Georgia (22-12, 9-7 Southeastern), Ohio State (28-8, 12-6 Big Ten), Oklahoma State (21-12, 10-8 Big 12), Penn State (14-17, 4-14 Big Ten), Purdue (19-11, 9-8 Big Ten) and USC (21-10, 11-7 Pac-12). In all, nine of the 10 teams participating in the event competed in postseason play in 2022-23. Six squads qualified for the NCAA Tournament (East Carolina, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Purdue and USC) while three others took part in the WNIT (Columbia, Florida and Seton Hall).

The Pirates will face USC on Monday, Nov. 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET. On Wednesday, Nov. 22, The Hall will take on East Carolina at 11:00 a.m. ET. Both contests will be available live at FloHoops.

The non-bracketed Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship gives schools the opportunity to play a pair of games against some of the top women's basketball programs in the nation. Virginia Tech, who won both of its contests in the 2022 event, parlayed its experience into winning the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship and achieving the program's first NCAA Final Four appearance last season. Stanford started the 2021-22 season at Baha Mar en route to a Final Four finish while Pink Flamingo participants NC State, Indiana and Maryland advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.
