Pirates Earn Third Straight Victory at Embry-Riddle

Daytona Beach, Fla. – The Seton Hall women's cross country team picked up its third straight win to begin the season, taking the top spot at the Embry-Riddle Cross Country Classic. The Pirates placed first out of the 10 competing teams.
Caitlin Fahy (Ringwood, N.J.) was the first Pirate to cross the finish line, taking second place overall with a time of 19:14.50. Fahy led the charge as the Pirates saw three top-5 finishers and five in the top-10. Julia Smith (Pittsgrove, N.J.) took third place overall with a time of 19:32.20, followed by Honey Strosnider (Fairfield, Pa.) in fourth in 19:34.80. Paige Quigley (Sacramento, Calif.) claimed sixth with a time of 19:38.50 and Hannah Cullum (San Antonio, Texas) rounded out the top-10 with a time of 20:11.10.
Kayla Carrino (Lyndhurst, N.J.) and Taj Lanier (Lincoln University, Pa.) each finished inside the top-20 on the morning. Carrino crossed the finish line in 14th place with a time of 20:44.90, while Lanier took 17th overall in 21:21.10.
The Pirates return to action next Saturday at the Maryland Eastern Shore Farm Run in Princess Anne, Md.
