LAST GAME
Three Pirates scored at least 16 points and the Seton Hall women's basketball team outlasted St. John's, 74-66, in overtime before a raucous Walsh Gym crowd on Monday.
Â
St. John's forced the extra session with a late run and a game-tying three-pointer with only 34 seconds left. In overtime, however, the Pirates upped their intensity and got a pair of three-point plays from Azana Baines (Blackwood, N.J.) and Micah Gray (Oklahoma City, Okla.) before a massive three-pointer by Sha'Lynn Hagans (Manassas, Va.) to pull away from the Red Storm.
Â
Baines started slow, but finished with team-highs of 17 points and 13 rebounds. Both Gray and Kae Satterfield (New York, N.Y.) had 16 points, while Hagans had a season-high 10 points off the bench.
Â
Senior Amari Wright (Jacksonville, Fla.) had another strong game at the point with six points and game-highs of 10 assists and four steals.

Seton Hall All-Time vs. the Bluejays:Â Creighton leads, 17-6

AGAINST CREIGHTON
Seton Hall and Creighton will meet for the 24th time in history on Sunday with the Bluejays owning a 17-6 all-time series lead. Creighton won all three meetings last season, including a 75-74 overtime victory over the Pirates in the quarterfinals of the BIG EAST Tournament. The Hall's last win over the Bluejays came at the BIG EAST Tournament the prior year. Seton Hall's last victory at D.J. Sokol Arena came on Dec. 31, 2015.
Â
SCOUTING CREIGHTON
Coming off its second straight NCAA Tournament berth, Creighton returns 84-percent of its scoring from that squad, including its top four scorers in Lauren Jensen, Morgan Maly, Emma Ronsiek and Molly Mogensen. Â The experience-heavy unit has six seniors on the roster, all of which have played significant minutes for the Bluejays. Â Creighton went 22-9 overall and 15-5 in BIG EAST play a season ago, finishing in third place in the standings and advancing to the BIG EAST Tournament Semifinals. Â The Bluejays came up short in the NCAA Tournament, a year after advancing to the program's first ever Elite Eight, as No. 6 seed Creighton was upset in the First Round by 11th-seeded Mississippi State. Â
Â
Creighton was picked to finish second in the BIG EAST this season according to the preseason coaches' poll. Jensen, Maly and Ronsiek were all named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.
Â
The Bluejays enter Sunday's contest as the 21st-ranked team in the country with a 15-3 overall record and a 6-2 mark in BIG EAST play. Creighton went 9-2 in their non-conference slate with victories over high-major teams Nebraska, Georgia Tech and Michigan State. Their two BIG EAST losses have come against No. 19 Marquette and No. 12 Connecticut. Most recently, they defeated Georgetown in D.C., 77-72, on Wednesday.
Â

Seton Hall will return to action on Wednesday, January 31 when it returns to historic Walsh Gymnasium for a game against Georgetown. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. The contest will be streamed by the BIG EAST Digital Network and available for FloHoops subscribers. Liam Harding and Aiden Benison will carry the broadcast for WSOU FM.
