Seton Hall improves to a perfect 6-0-0 for the first time since 1986.
The unbeaten Pirates found themselves down a goal at the half, but they scored three times in the second half with Jon Vignir Peturrson (Selfoss, Iceland) tying the game on a penalty kick, Til Kauschke (Hamburg, Germany) connecting on the go-ahead tally and Kossoudji providing the insurance.
With the victory, The Hall improves to a perfect 6-0-0 on the season. It's only the third time in program history that the Pirates have started 6-0-0, joining teams from 1986 and 1957.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Crimson showed its physicality in the first half, collecting seven fouls and two yellow cards. The Pirates had five shots, including three on goal, but it was Harvard that broke the scoreless tie. In the 34th minute, Harvard's Dylan Tellado unleashed a strong left-footed shot from just outside the 18-yard box past a diving Jensen into the upper right corner of the goal.
In the second half, the Pirates, down a goal, upped their offensive pressure. In the 52nd minute, Agustin Resch (Arata, Argentina) was taken down while trying to head the ball and a penalty kick was awarded. Vignir Petursson then deposited the ball in the upper left corner of the goal to tie the game at one goal apiece.
Nine minutes later, Kossoudji found Kauschke with a touch pass at the top of the box, and he blasted the ball past a diving goalkeeper into the net for the go-ahead goal. In the 79th minute, The Hall put the final nail in Harvard's coffin as Konstantin Donalies (Bremen, Germany) found a streaking Kossoudji who went "five-hole" on the Crimson goalkeeper to make it 3-1 Seton Hall.
