Jada Eads Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK – Seton Hall's Jada Eads (Orlando, Fla.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

It's the fifth time this year that Eads has been honored by the conference. She's been named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week three times and Player of the Week once.Â

In a pair of BIG EAST road contests last week, Eads continued to show why she's one of the premiere freshmen in the country. The point guard led Seton Hall with 17.0 points per game. On Wednesday at Marquette, Eads had a game-high 20 points to go with five rebounds and three steals. On Sunday at No. 6 Connecticut, Eads tallied a team-best 14 points along with four rebounds, four steals and two assists.

Connecticut swept the week's major awards with Paige Bueckers being named BIG EAST Player of the week and Sarah Strong earning Freshman of the Week. Those joining Eads on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll include: Creighton's Morgan Maly, Georgetown's Victoria Rivera, Villanova's Maddie Webber and Xavier's Loren Christie.

Seton Hall will return to action when it returns to historic Walsh Gymnasium to host local BIG EAST rival St. John's. Tip time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed live by the Pirate Sports Network and available for FloCollege subscribers.
