South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's soccer team continues BIG EAST play on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. when it hosts DePaul at Owen T. Carroll Field. Live coverage of the match can be seen on ESPN+.
The Pirates will be holding their annual Mary Jennings Memorial Game on Wednesday. Jennings was an academically talented Secondary Education/History major and tenacious athlete on the women's soccer team who courageously battled cancer until the age of 21. Mary was committed to a life of service to others, brought love, laughter and learning wherever she went and made an indelible mark on the lives of so many students, both at Seton Hall and in our local schools.
In her honor, the Mary L. Jennings Memorial Scholarship was created and is awarded annually to a Seton Hall student who represents the same team spirit and passion for education that Mary Jennings possessed. You can make a gift to the Mary L. Jennings Memorial Scholarship here.

NEWS & NOTES
- Adria Kitzinger found the back of the next twice on Saturday in the 5-2 loss to Xavier, picking up her first brace of her career.
- For her efforts, Kitzinger was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
- Kitzinger became the third different Pirate to record a brace this season, joining Gianna Angelillo (Aug. 14, Aug. 24) and Paige Shaughnessy (Aug. 21).
- Shaughnessy's brace allowed her to receive BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors. She is the first Pirate to receive Freshman of the Week honors since Lily Camacho on Aug. 28, 2023.
- Kitzinger enters play with four goals on the season, good enough for second on the team. The junior entered the season having scored just one goal in 33 career matches, with that goal coming in her collegiate debut against Lafayette on Aug. 23, 2023.
- The Pirates erupted to open the 2025 season, going unbeaten through their first five matches of the season for just the third time ever.
- The two previous five-game unbeaten stretches to open a season for the Pirates came in 2012 (5-0-0) and 1998 (4-0-1).
- Head Coach Josh Osit is in the midst of his fourth season at the helm of the Seton Hall women's soccer program in 2025.
- The Pirates boast a young roster, with 18 of their 25 players being either a freshman or a sophomore.
- Entering the season, Seton Hall has posted its most points in a two-year span since 2007-08 and has placed players on the all-conference team in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2010-11.
- In just his second season in 2023, Osit guided the Pirates to 10 points in conference matches, the most for the program since 2011.
- Osit inherited a program that has posted just 12 points in BIG EAST play over the previous four seasons combined.
- Osit's signing class was ranked No. 29 in the nation by TopDrawerSoccer.com back in April, marking the second straight season in which the Pirates had a top-50 class from the publication.
- The Pirates welcome in an exciting group of new talent in 2025, welcoming in 13 newcomers consisting of three transfers and 10 freshmen.
- Gianna Angelillo transfers in from Louisville by way of Miami, playing a total of 27 matches over her first two seasons of collegiate soccer. Brianna Azevedo (Rutgers) and Shea Boyle (Boston College) also bring previous college experience to the team this season.
- Of the 10 freshmen coming to South Orange, three were included in TopDrawerSoccer's rankings: Isabella Calabro (152nd), Jordana Bello (153rd) and Danni Hennessy (197th).
